The Doberman pinscher is one of the most beautiful dog breeds on earth. Not only is it beautiful, but it is extremely popular among dog lovers everywhere.
Dobermans are smart and active dogs, requiring a fair amount of attention and exercise. They are known to be among some of the most intelligent dogs alive today, having owned one in the past myself I can attest to this. They make learning new tricks an enjoyable interaction between you and the dog. They can even distinguish between different toys and objects when commanded. This can make getting beer out of the refrigerator a much easier task.
Dobermans average around 65-75 pounds but can get in the range of around 100 pounds. Their mass, muscle, and bark combined make them a genuinely great guard dog to keep around the house and family. Which by the way, they are usually great with children and other close nit family members. They can be territorial toward strangers that enter the home, but as for any dog, this largely depends on the upbringing of the dog along with the relationship with the owner.
The Doberman features a short slick looking coat, cropped ears and a clipped tail. Though not all Dobermans have their ears and tail worked on as pups, it is the standard for the breed. They are a fairly muscular dog that was built for speed and endurance.
It is easy to see why the Doberman pinscher is so beloved in our society. They are a phenomenal companion to have around and fill our hearts with love every time we see them. They are a truly magnificent breed.
